I have recently moved on to the South Island of New Zealand.
Way different from the North Island, yet breathtakingly beautiful as well:
Island Hills Station, Hurunui District. Once again my financial resources have been running low, so I took the opportunity I have been offered: Doing the tractor work for a 8000 hectare farm! (That's almost 70 square Kilometers!) |
A masterpiece of Japanese engineering: 1996 Toyota Hilux, Old and well used. but full of character! (Not my own, just get to drive it almost every day! ;)) |
Here it is, the beast that fills my bank account |
Our "backyard". My share of white Christmas I guess... Still more than i would get in Germany though! |
That is the view I may wake up to every morning! And yes, it is actual frost we had at the house that morning! |
The City of Kaikoura, struck by an earthquake of almost 8 on the Richter scale, recovered really quick though and is as beautiful as ever! |
Back at the farm, Another snowy day! |
Gorgeous sunrise in the mountains! I'm truly blessed to live right here! |
And once again I have been able to find myself a fantastic old school ride! This time actually suitable for traveling! ;) |
It's a 1974 Morris Marina 1.8 Estate, A piece of British automobile history! |
