Well, there isn't much to say, really.
My time here in Australia is running out quickly with only four days remaining on my visa. I've been lucky enough to score a Visitor Visa for New Zealand, allowing me stay for up to five months, and I can't wait to set my feet back on Kiwi soil.
Anyways, I've said goodbye to my beloved car, booked my flight and packed my bags.
However, I've had the fantastic opportunity to spot one of the biggest raptors worldwide from up close, so here we go!

Eastern Rosella |
 |
Yellow - Tailed Black Cockatoo |
 |
Snug Falls |
 |
And here we go: The Wedge-Tailed Eagle! Australia's largest bird of prey and one of the largest world wide. Here we see a juvenile bird, distinguished by it's light grey colors. As they mature the color changes to dark brown. |
 |
Wedge-Tailed Eagles can easily reach wingspans of over 2 meters, in fact, the largest wingspan of any eagle ever reliably recorded was a tasmanian Wedge-Tailed Eagle. It measured 284cm. |

With only around 200 breeding pairs left in the wild this species sadly is listed as endangered. |
best of luck in nz.
