In the morning I wake up
And I raise my weary head
There goes another year
Ice cold coffee in my cup
Emptiness reigns in my bed
And I wish that you were
here
Days are passing, one by
one
Summer fades and in comes
fall
Skies are dark, no longer
clear
Blue and green, they have
long gone
Muted now is songbirds
call
I so wish that you were
here
Time goes on and so does
life
I get older by the day
In my heart the same old
fear
Cold wind cuts me like a
knife
I suppose I'll find a way
But I still wish that you
were here
I wonder why it's so easy to write some cheesy love poem and so difficult to write about something meaningful?
