The government has eased restrictions a little and I have been able to move places. And I've landed in the middle of the most impressive native bush I've ever seen on a private property.
So, less talk, more pictures!
Mt Tangihua in sunset |
Moonrise |
I never took any pictures of the moon before and am stoked about how they turned out, despite not bringing my tripod. |
Kahikatea fruit and seed. |
New Zealand's tallest native tree. Specimen up to 80m tall were recorded before extensive logging eradicated most of the taller trees. |
A Five Finger growing within a large Toatara. |
I've never seen something like that with two different species. |
Coral Tree flower, also know as Flame Tree. Not to be confused with the Australian Flame Tree. |
Common Brushtail Possum, hiding in a tree fern. |
Nikau Palm |
Spider web |
Tree Fern Leave. |
Very Large Cabbage tree |
Parasol Mushroom |
Another Possum. |
Despite their cute appearance they are very destructive and do a lot of damage to the native flora. |
Odd coloration in the water, above and below the picture frame the water was completely clear. |
Another spider wed |
Same Mushroom as before, this time in the sunlight. |
