I walk down a lonely road
Trough the city late at
night
Trough the goo and gunk
and mold
Hear people scream and
fight
I pass humans by the mass
Staring in their empty
face
Separated by their class
In their designated place
I pass through them very
quick
Running through this
concrete maze
I count my steps, brick by
brick
followed by their soulless
gaze
I see a couple in the park
Kissing under a
streetlight
A light tearing through
the dark
I pull back into the night
I walk down to the river
Drag my feet through
deepest mud
Can't help an ice-cold
shiver
As a man jumps in the
flood
Distant sirens pierce my
ear
I hear gunshots, barking
dogs
I feel this old familiar
fear
Cold sweat fill up my
socks
I walk back onto this road
See the ladies of the
night
See a man in leather coat
Forget the wife by his
side
See an old man on the
floor
Holding up an empty cup
Drop a coin, walk in the
door
I climb the steps, up and
up
Till I reach the tower's
tops
See the skyline of this
town
Hear the noise that never
stops
Feel my spirits slowly
drown
Want to leave, I can't get
out
Step out on the deck of
sight
Take a breath, release my
doubt
Lift my feet, jump in the
night
