After yet another 'hottest summer on records' autumn has arrived.
And for the first time this year we had some rain, and thus ended the drought.
Sadly, however, the grass is still brown, especially since this autumn is shaping up to also be the 'hottest on records'. Which does make me wonder; is the grass ever green here in Australia?
At least, and luckily, I should say, is the abundance of Eucalyptus trees evergreen.
Although the dull, olive colored foliage is of course no substitute for the lush green meadows of New Zealand I miss so much.
Anyways, enough of the sentimentality!
Although I have been busy at work and trying to avoid the worst of the heat, I have been able to snap a couple of shots:
Another Copperhead |
Fellow deer |
Close up of a juvenile Copperhead |
A large Skink |
My best guess is it's a Cunningham's Skink |
