Winter here in New Zealand differs remarkably little from Summer, apart from the on average slightly cooler temperatures.

| Another shag |
| Marlborough backcountry covered in snow. Quite a rare occurence. |
| Orange fungi on an old walnut tree just outside my door. Would love to know what these are called... |
| I took this picture when I was stuck at home with my so far only Covid-19 infection. Watching these emerge, grow, wilt and disappear again all within a few days was not just fascinating, it was also one of the very few things I was capable of in my incapacitated state. |

| A large willow at the local lagoon |
| A small insect slowly ascending the slope of my cars boot lid |
| Port Hills, Christchurch, and flax as seen from Ferrymead Park |
| An impromptu sunrise photoshoot with my car. I still think bullet mirrors, or variations thereof, are the sexiest shape, even though it is quite difficult to actually see anything in them. |
| Heron |
| Pukeko |
| Yawning Kingfisher, or Kotare. |
